It couldn't be more clear that Arum fixed the fight. Let's count all the possible reasons.

1) Pacquaio was rumored to be leaving him. A big fuck you. 2) Pacquiao is aging and Bradley is up and coming. Arum promotes both fighters and Bradley will be the guy he can hang his hat on as his new cash cow. 3) There will be a rematch. The controversy from this will make for a highly anticipate rematch generating a fuck ton of cash. Arum promotes both fighters, double the money. 4) All of a sudden people stop demanding a fight against Floyd and only care about the rematch of Pac Bradley. It has been well documented how much Arum hates Floyd and now this could divert attention away from real superfight. 5) Arum is as scum as they come.

Yeah, that sums it up. Bob Arum is a sleazy motherfucker.

Someone needs to murder Bob Arum.

Pacquiao, please just leave the sport and don't do the rematch. Boxing is a fucking joke.

How's this Arum's fault?

He represents both? I'm not too sure how or why they permitted a fight where there's clear conflicts of interest.

Disgusting.

I just didn't see how they could blatantly rig this thing. Two of the judges shouldn't have even been working that big of an event. How did they pick the judges, especially the middle, inexperienced judge (1st to pick Bradley) who went for Bradley? Conspiracy theory much, but were those the guys they could get to throw the fight?

Hours before the fight, Arum is talking up Bradley as his next top guy:

No wonder that boxing is losing ground to MMA.

The UFC sucks big time now. Guys there are scared to fight (except Nick Diaz) and all they do is dry hump each other or run around the octogone (Condit) for 5 rounds.

Sounds like somebody's a sour Nick Diaz fan :)

Isn't this in theory a good thing? The proposed Mayweather-Pacquiao fight would hinge less on trivial aspects of negotiations and actually go ahead. I would imagine Pac, who despite me not being a huge boxing fan, to be a fighter with a lot of pride and would seek a fight to avenge this loss even after the rematch with Bradley. In theory anyway.

It isn't pacquiao that doesnt want to fight.... its Mayweather. Now Mayweather will believe he has an excuse to bitch out by saying Pacquiao lost, he is a chump now, etc.

Mayweather is a mother fucker, I would love anything to see Pacquiao take his ass out.

Agree, to an extent. There appears a little reluctance from both sides. Pacquiao says in public he would fight him but his people obviously feel differently so something is amiss. Do agree that Mayweather will use this loss to dally further.

Honestly, if this fight had any chance of happening, it would have already.

The reality is that neither of them REALLY wants to fight the other one. If Mayweather really wanted to beat his to cement his legacy or whatever he would bend on the blood testing thing (they were arguing over like 3 days difference in the testing) and give Pac more cash. Its already like a 70 30 split or something ridiculous so he could make it 65 35 and bend on the blood test and make it happen but he won't because his undefeated record means too much to him.

This just a year or so after Mayweather knocked the guy out when his hands were down makes me rehate boxing.

If anything my guess would be that the loss by Manny would make a Mayweather / Pac fight more likely. Mayweather has leverage now to get a 60/40 split or whatever he's asking for as opposed to the 50/50 since he's the "better" fighter now. Plus PacMan needs more than just a win over Bradley in the rematch to get back into the best pound for pound fighter of all time argument. Unfortunately I don't think he has enough time for a Bradley win, plus the time the negotiations will take with Floyd, then a win against Floyd.

Either way I'll stick to my UFC, unless every single champ decides to get hurt... which isn't too unlikely given what's happened recently.

Anyone see the picture/story that the Pacquiao/Bradley posters were printed 2 weeks ago. Set for Nov 10, tickets on sale.
Yep and Bradley tweeted something about it too. "Gonna be so nice we're gonna do it twice." or some Swagon type shit like that.

I didnt see the fight but I read that Pacquiao hit Bradley so hard he fractured his left foot and sprained his right ankle.

Amazing.

Whaaaa? Not sure if srs....

Lettuce be cereal. The fight was a lot closer than people are giving Bradley credit for, but most avg boxing fans are generally Pacman homers due to the silly commercials and Karoakee etc. . Bradley wins the first round, there are a couple of indecisive rounds in the middle, then he clearly wins the last 3. The announcer saying that he scored it 11-1 in favor of pacman is nonsensical. I can see how it came down to 2 votes, it was honestly that close (if you watch it with the volume on mute). Nevertheless, in close matches, the nod normally goes to the champ. That would be my only beef.

But not the runaway victory for pac that everyone is declaring.

On almost every score card (the AP, ESPN, Larry Merchant's, etc) Bradley won maybe 1 round. That is a runaway victory.
