Sales and trading to real estate
Would it be likely to go from sales and trading at a JP/Citi/MS > a top business school (Wharton) > and get into real estate private equity or advisory at an associates level?

Definitely! I have one person in mind who has trodden this exact path and now works at one of the big REPE firms at the associate level. I have another friend who did big 4 accounting > Ivy League MBA > major REPE. He, too, was able to join a large REPE firm as an associate.
As long as you have a relevant internship in business school you shouldn't have much of an issue getting a role in a major REPE firm. The MBA grads that I've seen start over as an analyst are the ones who have little to no full-time experience prior to completing the MBA.
