Thoughts on CIM Group today?
Recently saw that CIMs equity team was hiring and was curious what the current market perspective is on the group.
Any inside perspective or anecdotal experience you’d be willing to share would be really helpful. Trying to understand the culture and if the opportunity is good/bad. Seems like high turnover but don’t understand why
Just look up CIM group on Google
A lot of dated content so hoping for additional info
Have buddies who've said it's a sweatshop, they pay decently well though and have a solid reputation.
Terrible, backstabbing culture.
Cool projects though.
good place to cut your teeth and pocket some cash as a junior and that’s about it IMO
Agreed. Sweatshop.
These gigantic developers are rarely a good place to work outside of doing a couple years when you're fresh out of school for the experience / resume.
I’d counter this with “it depends.” There are some good ones out there. Hines used to be. TCC absolutely still is. If you’re high up enough in some of the big name multi firms, they apply too, although it’s hard to get high up enough these days.
CIM in particular has a trash culture.

Most misleading firm name since bulge bracket financial sponsors (bbfs).
