SAS Programming experience for Banking FT

Hi, some background: I am a junior accounting major in a non-target with 3.54 and many many many extracurriculars and leadership experiences. I have a corp fin internship lined up with F1000 and an externship requiring me to learn SAS programming. For this post, I want to concentrate on the externship that requires me to learn SAS programming.

Now to the real content: I want to work in a BB FT when I graduate and was wondering what types of roles in banking utilize SAS programming? Do front office roles such as IB or CB require them? If not, what roles utilize them? Is SAS even a selling point in FT interviews?
