short answer: no long answer: nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
While the Math 2 Subject test does test more advanced mathematics, it is not "harder" than the General SAT's math section. The general math section is often more twisted in terms of question wording and it is designed to completely throw you off while the Math 2 subject test is straightforward. The General SAT's math section basically assesses your attention to detail and ability to work a problem from an unorthodox manner while the Math 2 assesses your knowledge of certain subjects. This fucked me up because it took me 2 months of prep to go from a 660 Math to an 800 on the general while I took the Math 2 Subject test once without studying and got an 800.
If I were you I'd list my general SAT AND my Subject Tests as so. This seems to be the most ethical approach imo
SAT - 2170 (760 Verbal, 720 Math, 690 Writing) SAT II - 770 Math 2
Or if you really want to hide the 720 Math,
SAT - 760 Verbal, 770 Math II, 690 Writing
but this is along the lines of what you were saying and to me doesn't sound very ethical. Curious to hear what other monkeys think
no. just no.
There is literally no incremental benefit from having a 2220 SAT score on your resume vs. a 2170. There is serious downside (even if unlikely) from people realizing you're being dishonest about your SAT score.
Exactly. People are going to glance at the score and mentally slot it into a category for how good it is, not pick at the exact score. The only time they will pay much heed to the exact number is if you had an unusual result like getting a perfect result in one section.
