No idea what the meaning of your comment is, but Google is not your 40 hour week. Have a friend in tech and he said Google's hours are much more than 40. There's a reason they have all those benefits on their campus. "Oh yeah we have a free cafeteria, why not just eat here and do more work." My tech friend says FB SWE is standard 40 hours but people work overtime and on weekends to stand out (competition) and because they genuinely enjoy the work. You should actually have some friends in tech before coming on here making baseless comments.

if you're competent and can run a P&L, just trade your own account and make bank that way. I've seen people lateral from tech into Citadel and other prop firms, so you don't have to go the analyst route.

I will tell you this however, bitching about one industry while simultaneously trying to leave the one you're propping up is not helpful, if anything, this little crusade is a distraction.
