Senior at semi target, considering MFE, MFin programs

Hi,

I'm currently a senior at a semi-target school majoring in pure math. I do have one S&T execution internship from a boutique, but I only decided to do finance last semester. I am planning on applying for MIT MFin, Columbia MFE, and other MFE programs. Realistically I can probably score well enough on GMAT and GRE for me to apply. Does anyone have any suggestions on which program? And, I was wondering about doing IB through a MIT MFin program or a Columbia MFE.

Prospect in , bummer your thread hasn't had a response yet. Maybe one of these threads could point you in the right direction:

Hope that helps.

Going to MFin/MFE program just gives you another chance to recruit for IB in U.S, you still have to network a lot. if you are recruiting in APAC, the brand name will for sure help.

I was actually premed till last semester, so I'm not sure where to begin with networking

IB, as in actual IBD, in the US rarely recruits from masters programs. Recruiting for IBD in APAC would be fine though, they're very open to masters students. For the record, the content you learn in MIT MFin and Columbia MFE will really not be that relevant to IBD - it's just a matter of which has better brand image and stronger alumni ties.
