Seriously, What can I do at this point?
What can I do at this point so I don't have "working a cash register and folding clothes" as my summer analyst position.

Career Resources
3.5, Stern, BlackRock back office internship under my belt...and I can't find anything.
Would you look outside of NYC? I know there are some regional banks that are still decent and would probably love a Stern person - these banks are by no means BBs, but I have friends that worked there and went to Leh, JPM etc for FT
I would look ANYWHERE, but I just don't know how/where to look....
seriously you never networked in your three years at Stern? I find that hard to beleive since Stern has an excellent alumni network and you live in NYC. Anyways, thats your best right now to contact alums absolutely everywhere and hope for the best.
It doesn't need to be banking, just ANYTHING decent that is finance. I honestly don't know where to look. I'd do trading, investment management, operations, I just want to find SOMETHING, and don't know where to begin my search. I am a Junior.
.
NYU doesn't give us contact to Alumni's list until Senior Year. My friends are trying, but they are mostly at BB's.
Alumni are not hard to find, from any school.
Many of them are on LinkedIn. Some of the younger ones are on Doostang.
If you've never used these sites, you should.
...and will continue looking for people even through the spring. These places actually have a very hard time locating good people because their recruiting efforts are so much more limited than BBs.
Use alumni networking and take advantage of Stern's alumni... I guarantee some of them will be at smaller banks.
Make a list of everyone you know, and figure out who's most closely related to finance/investment banking. Start contacting them and asking about open positions they know of, or if they know anyone who might know of them.
Once you've contacted all of them, turn to Stern's career center and figure out which alumni are in the field. Explain your situation and again see if they know of any positions or know of anyone who might.
Would you mind telling me which boutiques/MM you know of? The problem is, Stern doesn't give us access to the Stern Alumni list until Senior Year, so I have no one to reach out to....
Dude, not having access shouldn't be an excuse. Just ask a senior that has access to the list to help you out.
This might not be what your looking for but take it for what it's worth.

you don't need the help of the career centre to find alumni from Stern. Go look at the regional/MM bank list on the Ibanking Bullpen forum and visit each of the websites for the different banks in NY. Literally every single one should have a stern graduate working there so reach out to them.
You may want to look into this. The program is very informal, but Mark Fisher, who teaches it has made several hundred million dollars and is a very talented trader.

I'm thinking at this point I may just go to law school and go into corporate law.
that would be a poor decision if you have no interest in law school and are just seeking for a good alt. to banking
Good idea, then you can be just like Andy.
It'll be hard getting into a top law school with a 3.5, but good luck.
oh please law school...gross.
MBF is already full, don't waste your time. And Fisher is a prick, and he's crazy. I will concede, however, that he does have fuck you money.
