Offer from a big 4 in any regional office (excluding NYC) and F500 headquarters.

Awaiting possible offers from: Hedge Fund in NJ Hedge Fund in Regional non NY/NJ MM Regional Bank

I did alot of networking over the summer (met 50-60+ bankers ranging from analyst to several MDs) and did quite a bit of prepration, but unfortuantely with no family connections it has been very hard. Applied to almost every sophomore rotational/honors and been denied by almost every program.

My Background: Equity Research Consulting at a very reputable BB, Summer Analyst at a F500, extremely involved on campus with leadership positions, competitve club team, honors program at a non target.

Offered (and 99% sure I'm going to accept) a hedge fund internship in NYC doing research, marketing, and administrative duties. I also have an interview for BB PWM, but don't think I'm going to even bother with it because PWM sucks compared to a HF. 1 interview so far and 1 offer.

I applied for most of sophomore rotational programs as well and either was rejected or haven't heard anything at all, which I assume means rejection considering recruiting season is pretty much over.

What I did: emailed alumni from my school and for people who emailed me back, I did a informational phone interview with them (20-25 alumni got back to me), applied to places via Doostang, searched the internet for firms and sent cold emails, and applied through my school's website. Doostang was what yielded my HF interview.

Background: sophomore at semi-target, involved on campus in a lot of business clubs and did an equity research report for a senior portfolio manager for one of those clubs, decent GPA, pre-business/finance major and philosophy minor.
