Sophomore Non-Target Resume

Non-target sophomore looking to break into IB and land an internship.

Came from extreme poverty, worked extremely hard and had a LOT of luck to get to the US. Currently working two part-time jobs aside from studying to support family back home.

Would appreciate some helpful comments. Please destroy this resume - the more, the better.

Thanks a lot for your time!

Your SA needs to be at the top of your experiences list. I know your're only a sophomore, but there's a ton of white space on that résumé. Were you at Deutsche, or another BB?

looks good, i noticed that you mentioned at the bottom of your resume that you are the founder and president of the VC club. that sounds impressive, perhaps you should elaborate on that below your work & leadership experience. that could make the resume look more full and would get rid of white spaces

I would probably try to elaborate more on the M&A internship, but if you don't think you can add more value to that, then the VC club would be fine to put on there.

I've never heard of a non-target student getting an IBD SA at a top bank during their freshman summer, so you're ahead of most people.
