Sophomore who can't afford something unpaid and nonlocal?
It seems boutiques and BBs with paid internships all want junior applicants. I read that PWMs and smaller boutiques are another route but I was told they entail working in NYC unpaid at this stage.
Is there anything else I could possibly do this summer to make myself a more competitive applicant by the time junior year rolls around? I'm an econ major at a top 25 lac with a 3.8, but haven't had anything finance related to put on my resume yet :( suggestions? I plan on going to upcoming info sessions on analyst opportunities on campus, but they'll probably also say they only want juniors.
