Sovereign Advisory - exit options

Hi guys,

I'm trying to get more information on Sovereign Advisory, and apart from the very little information available on the teams at Lazard, Rothschild and Millstein, there is not much info on how to get into the groups, and the career paths thereafter.

If you've got info, could you please help with the following questions?

  1. Are there other Sovereign Advisory shops missing (outside of the three above)?
  2. Are all of the Sovereign Advisory teams based in Paris? I think Millstein is NYC/Washington. Others?? Are there at least coverage teams outside of Paris?
  3. What are the exit opportunities afterwards?
  4. Any info on interviews (content, questions, etc) would be great.

People from Lazard Sovereign Advisory group in Paris generally exit to Ministry of Treasury positions or similar if they wish to switch to the public sector but also have a lot of options in the private sector (consulting, lobying...) At this point, Lazard is so prestigious in Europe that if you're good enough at your job you shouldn't worry about exits, HH will reach out.
