Startup Founder to MBA to Private Equity
Hey all,
First, thanks in advance for reading, and thanks for having such a great community.
I am a founder of a small software company. I founded it directly after college and make decent money. Happy to share my story if it's interesting to any folks. I recently took the GMAT, did well enough, and will be planning on applying to HBS and GSB, after which I will look to work in private equity.
I'm reaching out to see if anyone else has had a similar professional trajectory and what they've learned, what they wish they knew in advance, and so forth. Any tips or guidance would be appreciated. I'm familiar with what PE professionals do, as I interface with them regularly in my day job, but rarely do our conversations shift to their career ambitions and so on.
