Target To Pay $15 Minimum Wage
Target is planning on increasing its minimum wage from $10 to $11 per hour next month. They also have plans to increase it to $15 an hour by the end of 2020. $11 per hour is actually higher than minimum wage in 48 states. Read more here.
- How is this even feasible for Target? Do you think they will just end up cutting jobs, becoming more automated, and/or raising prices in order to afford this?
- Overall, do you think this is a good move on Target's part? What could they possibly get out of raising their minimum wage? "Better quality" or harder working minimum wage workers? I really don't expect there being a major difference, what do you monkeys think?
