Temasek London Reputation?
Temasek is hiring for Associates in their London office for Direct Investing. So I want to know candidly, what is their reputation on the street in Europe?
Asking all Investing/Private Equity veterans or others interested in the industry.
How do they stack up compared to a traditional PE investor in terms of prestige/exit opps and desirability?
For some colour... I work at a top BB (MS/GS/JPM) and I'm considering applying to Temasek.
But want to understand the reputation from you monkies first.
Interviewed with them but can't disclose the specific team:
Overall impression was highly mixed. Seniors didn't know how to direct a conversation and were not really interested in your background or character.
Had the most awkward interview with a guy in quarantine who seemed to be borderline depressed and didn't even respond to the usual Covid chitchat.

What about the firm itself? Are they considered strong or prestigious?
I know a senior associate there who is extremely dry to talk to... Great place to be though from what I have heard
