Thoughts on Transferring

I am currently a sophomore at a school that is probably a semi-target overall for IB/consulting recruiting. I applied to a few better target schools, and have so far been accepted to one and waiting to hear back from a few others that are less likely. I've been going through IB recruitment at my school with the banks that came for OCR this spring, but I won't have anything from those. I know transferring would make IB recruiting really weird, but I am becoming much more interested in consulting and I believe my current school gets decent recruitment from tier 2 firms while the transfer school is solid overall(can pm specific school names). ? Of course the social part in transferring, but I'm already thinking about that. Is there anything on the recruitment/career side I should take into account in making my decision? Since consulting internship recruiting would be in the fall(and it being more merit based/cases than all the networking for IB) and also that I can recruit full time makes it seem like transferring isn't too much of a hurdle for consulting recruitment. I also believe a stronger brand name is better in the long term too. Any thoughts? Most posts seem to be about non-target to target, but this is a smaller gap.
