To work or not to work..that is the question!

Hey all.
So i have got an offer for economics at Edinburgh and i wanted to know if it would be a good idea to work part time?I am an international student so i have kind of limited knowledge about the kind of part time jobs available to undergraduates in the UK.
And if you think it is a good idea to work part time, what kind of jobs would you suggest?Like something that may look good on my resume or something that does not consume all my energy and time leaving me a tired wreck whenever i finally go to study.
