UK / Europe - 2022 Bonuses
Alright UK / EU team, it's that time of the year again. Setting up this thread to get numbers and expectations across the street
Word on the street is that numbers will be high - https://www.efinancialcareers.co.uk/news/2022/01/…;
Rumor has it that even HSBC will be paying 100% - quite an increase from their historical 20% - 40% range
Please post your number, rank, role and type of bank (US BB, European BB, Large Cap Bank, EBs, Mid Market, Specialist / Boutiques etc.)
I'll know mine in Feb. (Edit, if it's not at least 100% pro-rata, I'm out)

The big question is if A1/A2 will benefit from these increases or if it will only be directed for mid to high ranks
Think it will be mid to high ranks (associate+) - most analysts are on a summer cycle (please correct me if I'm wrong

wasn't MS today?
Yes, apparently
any MS monkeys want to let us know what their numbers are? Need to leverage it with my HR team.
Some sky high numbers for MS in S&T (FICC), I suppose IB stands even better.
Do you know when HSBC numbers will be out?
March no?

Where did you hear the 100% figure for HSBC?
I got strong on my review, so tbh a bonus like that would make me second guess leaving
Flash in the pan, could go back to 40% next year who knows lol
Get you mulla and leave asap.
Heard GS paid 270% for associate 1 - note the "heard."
PWP asso bonuses on Litiquidity
A1 120 - 140
A2 132 - 154
A3 132 - 175
New base, 120, 130, 145 vs 100, 110, 125
$90k of which 25% deferred. Cash less than my full year stub from last year. Disappointed but maybe to be expected with being ranked mid/low.
Thanks for the color - what type of bank and just wanted to confirm that you are paid in USD and not GBP (as you used $)
Paid in GBP but comp expressed/communicated in USD (more comparable anyway). BB.
You basically hit it on the head - firm is sending a message with that comp with regards to performance.

EB - ASS 1
Stub bonus - £30k, less than 60% of base on an annualised basis. Checked with rest of class, all ASS 1s got the same.
Not sure if this is a joke or what.
Lol EVR

Bonus generally 50% of the base on average.. So no where close to US BBs
heard it was 100% + Shares for those who were internal transfers; for everyone else it was dog shit.
