It's the worst place out there. They pay no bonus and their base is lower than a corporate job. They have terrible pipeline and people coming from second tier banks, that got laid off and need a temporary job. Pipeline sucks so much that on a few occasions they could not pay the salary. MDs treat people terribly. Turnover is very high.

Very sporadic deal flow (did very well in 2014, one deal closed in 2016 and zero in 2017 that I can find). Shops that are averaging less than a deal per MD most years are suspect IMO.

They've done a few decent sized deals, but on some ($400+ million in 2014), they were second chair. They do a fair amount of buyside work, which could be interesting for movement to corp dev.
