Using tombestones from previous employers

Established user, but posting under a separate account.

In a situation where I am contemplating, together with other senior team members, to join a smaller boutique. We would all leave as an established industry team with a strong track-record in our part of the market.

Is there any precedence for using tombestones to market Our transaction track-record from our previous employer (with a disclaimer, of course) at a New firm? I realize it is not common (nor "best practice"), but since we are leaving as an established team I feel it is fair and relevant to be able to market our collective track-record to clients.

Any views or relevant precedents? Would assume start-up boutiques would do the same in these situations, when established by senior bankers from lager firms?
