Yes, 100% disclose. Nothing is expunged in the eyes of FINRA. Won't be an issue but your onboarding will get held up when you are flagged.
I know not in the eyes of FINRA, but it didn’t have anything to do with stealing or anything like that.
Still disclose the info to HR? The VP literally told me that he already told them and I’d be good. I know if it’s expunged it generally doesn’t show up on the background check ran by the company though.
Just not sure what to do, I mean they’re petty charges. All dropped too or expunged.
I was in the same situation with an underage drinking charge. It was dismissed, but I still have to proactively disclose because of FINRA. It may not show up on background check but it is going to show up when you are registering with FINRA. I would actively let HR know to cover your bases. Better you are up front about it than catch everyone by surprise because the VP told the wrong person.
I'd check in with an actual employment lawyer. Would likely be worth the piece of mind.
What did you do
Some fuck shit, but it’s all getting expunged so I’m nearly 95% sure it should be good.
Emailed the monkey himself, Patrick, and he said that if it’s expunged i shouldn’t even disclose lmao.
I’ll take his word.
As I mentioned, I'm not a lawyer :-)
Always disclose to FINRA. If VP said it’s Ok then you can hope it’s OK nothing is guaranteed.
