VP Transition

Hi, know this forum caters a lot of advice to younger monkeys but hoping this reaches a few of our more experienced monkeys.

I recently transitioned to a VP role at my buyside firm and wanted to see what advice you can give someone trying to figure it out. In particular, I'm curious on: how to transition to non-associate responsibilities in a lean team, expectations for sourcing vs. execution, carving out a niche without stepping on more senior professional's toes, and how to continue moving up given there's less of a defined path now.

Any advice is greatly appreciated, even if it does not relate to the above. Thank you in advance!
