What Are You Grateful For In the Crazy Times?

I started coming on this site to find career advice and goals, but after reading over last few months I feel like a lot of kids including me lost sight of the important things in life in the pursuit of this IB to MF PE goal.

Open discussion:
What are the stories of the people who helped you over your journey?
What do you value?
What are you grateful for?

I wanted to make this thread so people could reflect and hear stories of people helping each other out. With everything going on right now, I feel like people could really benefit from hearing your stories.

Honestly, I'm grateful that my parents (mid-/late- 50s) are finally getting their first "spring break" in 25 years since they immigrated here. After they started working from home due to Covid-19, my parents picked up gardening as their new hobby. These days, I keep getting pictures about how they grew their first strawberries and joking complaints about how the neighborhood bunny or squirrel keeps stealing their carrots. It's so nice to know they're in a much happier stage in life now with retirement in the horizon over the next decade.

So corona has taken a lot of fun times from me. I was suppose to go to Costa Rica, Chicago, NYC etc... this year. But the only this corona hasn’t taken from me is a human life and I’m grateful for that.

A healthy family. Of course that can change any minute, but being sent home from college is the first real break I’ve had since I’ve been at H/Y/S. Every year, straight into summer work for the entire summer, then back to the year maintaining 2+ jobs. I haven’t got really any time to hang out with them since I’ve been “on my own” and it’s nice to see our relationship grow as they start to recognize me as not just their child, but a successful adult. idk man, I’m just grateful to still have my parents.
