What do you do if there are no internships in your area?

As the title states. How are college students supposed to get internships in ib if the internships are far away? Most postings for internships that I see are usually hours and states away.

If you live in a middle of nowhere town or go to college in a middle of nowhere town then you gotta just hope to get a remote internship or pay to live in a different city for the summer. I'm originally from a small ass town but went to school in Miami so I stayed in Miami between semesters and interned in the city

No way dude I grew up near providence and my brother went to Brown. Rhode Island does not have a great finance scene but Boston is close enough and the amtrak is like a 40 minute for like 9 bucks. There are also a handful of small wealth management firms in Westerly, Newport, Narragansett and other towns. if you look hard enough you can find some good internships in Rhode Island. Citizens Bank is in Johnston and Fidelity has an office in Smithfield I think. And with Brown on your resume you'll be way ahead of PC/URI/Salve/Bryant/RIC/RW students
