What Kinds of Groups in IB or Even Firms will Benefit Most From Inflation?
Not arguing about whether inflation will happen. Rather, which kinds of groups, and/or firms are most well positioned incase inflation does happen.

Could be wrong here but financials and the energy sector tend to outperform amidst inflation

Would you mind elaborating on your rationale for M&A? I would think higher input costs could drive economies of scale seeking, maybe some vertical acquisitions... also higher share prices / market caps / TEVs means higher deal fees
I mean logically in the long run fees across the board will go up. With that being said any active mandates will suffer because they will lose out on some value.
The only areas that I see not doing well is potentially heavy importing companies.
