There are plenty of places that sell dress boots with Dainite soles. With your trousers covering the shaft of the boot, they just look like regular dress shoes at the office. Basically boots made of a scotch-grain/pebble-grain/Chromexcel leather with some kind of synthetic sole (Dainite/Victory/Topy) will work well in foul weather.

Some suggestions...

Of course, you can always get galoshes to fit over your normal dress shoes. That's probably the most economical route.

I would agree with Trent. Change your shoes once you get to work. Get some high quality GORE-TEX boots or shoes. Lowa has a good selection if you want a value shoe that you can wear for both hiking and casual use.

Thanks for the suggestions! I also just found a couple articles online about weatherproofing leather shoes. Have any of you tried this?
