What should I major in.

Hello,
I go to the University of Michigan and I major in Economics. I effin hate it and I am awful at the theory behind it but not the math. Any other major ideas that I could do? If I major in a lib. arts major (art hist, poli sci, stats or gen studies) how can i use that to my advantage? I really want to go into sales and trading and i hate hate hate economics, but I love finance and econ here is stupid and has nothing to do with finance and is not preparing me unlike my friends in ross. I can still take finance courses here.

Economics is not necessary to enter S&T. In fact, quantitative majors such as math and CS seem to be looked upon more favourably. If you prefer quantitative majors to economics, then you should switch to math/CS, math/finance, or some variation of.

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately my school doesn't really offer Finance unless you're in the business school. And their Financial Math Program sucks. I do know some CS, but since it is through the engineering school unfortunately you have to take engineering courses.
