Where do I fit?

I'm trying to figure out which area of finance is best for me and would appreciate any help available.

I love investing and the markets, but I don't like sitting in front of Excel all day and reading through 10-ks. Research is definitely not for me. Unfortunately, I'm not the most gregarious or outgoing person either, so I think that may preclude me from a sales position where I need to actively prospect clients. I am very detail-oriented and good at thinking about the macro enviro and how it will affect individual markets/co's. I enjoy being relied upon by people and getting the job done well.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Well one thing you have to admit is that almost nobody can like 100% of their job. If you like 50% of it- you're doing great. 25% isn't terrible.

For example, nobody wants to hear opinions on macro investing unless they believe you've been pouring over the details and not just fishing opinions out of your ass/the occasional newswire. :)
