Which is most effective?

Let's say for example you are applying to an intern position at a mid-sized firm. In terms of response rate, would it be better to apply via Doostang where it is listed, or is it better to send an email directly to the [email protected]? Basically, which option would allow your application to be noticed better? Would it be overkill to do both?

Thanks

I've gotten responses when I applied only via Doostang, no responses when applying via the company email/careers/website/etc. and/or both the site and Doostang.

I doubt anybody seriously cares, but I do submit to Doostang every time since logic dictates that if that's where the job is posted, that's where they'll look for resume's for the given position.
