Why do Banks ask if I worked at KPMG?
Hello guys,
maybe this is a dumb question but I thought about asking it all the time ... I´m just too curious not to ask.
I´m currently applying to several firms in the financial sector and there are really a lot of banks who ask if I worked (they name it solely) at KPMG? Why is that?
Of course I understand that they are interested if you worked already but why don´t they just give you a drag down with several finance or consulting firms, instead they focus solely on KPMG.
Thanks for youre answers
It's their auditor. They're trying to assess if there is any conflict of interest in hiring you.
If you were interviewing at Goldman, they would ask about PWC.
ahhh know it makes sense, thank you!
Think about it: “We’’ll Hire your guys if you give us a good audit report”
Huge conflict of intrest
What if I worked at one of the big four as an intern before and now the banks are asking this question on my app? Will this be considered a conflict of interests? I promise I’ve never touched their materials.
