Why have we lost passion for prestige?

Let's be honest. We are all suckers for a bit of prestige. Restaurants, schools, firms. You name it, if it's prestigious, we want it. 

That brings me to my point. Why don't we discuss prestige anymore? I genuinely used to laugh my fucking head off at the prestige threads on here. Pls can we bring them back :(
