Has anyone ever asked for an Office Visit/Tour?
I recently had an informational phone interview with an Associate from a BB in NYC. I was connected to the Associate through a Women's diversity event. The conversation went well. I live in CA but will fly to NYC for the holidays. Do you think it is worth to ask for an office visit/tour?
I am an MBA student applying for an ER SA role. I haven't submitted my application yet.
Anyone ever asked for an office visit or tour? Was it helpful in any way?
Thanks for your input.
Networking visit to a bank (Originally Posted: 11/17/2011)
After following up with a couple of people I met at an information session at my school recently, I've been invited to come by the bank's (BB) offices tomorrow afternoon. I've never done anything like this before, but I think it'll be a great opportunity to go and network some more (obviously). I'm really hoping to leverage this visit into an SA position.
Any advice on how to make the most of this opportunity? What should I expect? Should I bring my resume?
Thanks in advance!
Relax. There is a very low probability that this will land you a job, so just do your best and don't set any expectations. Networking is just a numbers game, so just keep doing what you did to get this meeting.
