Convert financial statements to $?

Doing equity research model on SodaStream as a student (hopefully future ER'ER) and the IPO prospectus with the figures for the years 05-09 are in euros. Should I convert the numbers to dollars for each based on the historic exchange rate at the end of each year? They give the exchange rates for each year end and average over each year. I wasn't sure if this would be the best way to do it though because the rate fluctuates over these years (1.18 in 2005 to 1.46 in 2009)- does this matter or since the ratios/percentages are being analyzed it won't make a difference?

Thanks in advance everybody, I know this is a pretty basic q and appreciate the help

Yes.
