COMPLETELY LOST IN LIFE

Backstory- Recent graduate (December 2018) of Big Ten school ( Penn State, Ohio State, Indiana), went for premed but switched to marketing, completely lost through undergrad, took a Business Development role in tech sales, (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce). But have talking with Alums, think I would enjoy building a career in IBD. My stats are 3.21 Cumulative GPA and 3.7 Business GPA ( sciences bring the GPA down)

Problems I am facing,

  1. Have talked with Alums and applied to Regional MM positions but no bites, same song and dance on the phone chats, (hard to break in from your background, we don't usually have many off cycle openings) Why IBD? Are you sure? Then follow up and it is crickets.

  2. My options grind in a tech sales career I don't want to be in long term, to set myself up for MBA or apply for MSF programs that you can return to for MBA. MSF concerns would be harder from my background without having summer internship in IBD, but for MBA not enough work experience.
