Can work experience during school count?
I am a recent grad, graduated in may and for about 11 months I have been working as a journalist covering media & entertainment technology. It is a freelance role, but can the work I did during undergrad be considered work experience if I have just graduated? I work full-time now, and I worked part-time during school.
I have been interviewing and applying for equity research roles in this specific sector. I have interviewed for positions that say they prefer 1-3 years of related experience, but if a position says they want a 1-year minimum, am I not competitive?
