Hi! It depends on where you are looking to enter.
The Americas platform is well recognised both at the advisory and execution levels, from financing to M&A. Precedents of laterals range from BB to elite boutiques, as well as buy-side.
Europe is improving in terms of recognition but few similar examples, but still with solid teams.
In the last 3 years, Mizuho has definitely been bulking up their IB division significantly. In the last year, they have risen to 25 on the league tables. Overall, good MM firm with good culture. In terms of exits, buyside is challenging but not impossible. Usually people lateral to other banks with better M&A.
