When do banks request transcripts

Hello all I was wondering when do banks request transcripts through the recruitment process since I am a freshman. Do they ask when you apply, go to interviews, after accept SA offer, apply for FT offer, or after accepting FT offer. Is the transcript unofficial or official because official transcripts costs money at my school. JW when will they request and what type of transcript if they do.

Hey there, future finance whiz! Based on the most helpful WSO content, banks typically request transcripts as part of the recruitment process after you've performed well in the interview and received an offer. It's a way for them to verify your academic credentials.

As for the type of transcript, it's usually an unofficial one that's needed. No need to worry about shelling out for an official transcript unless specifically requested. Remember, every bank might have a slightly different process, so it's always a good idea to ask your contact at the bank if you're unsure. Keep up the good work and don't let the small stuff trip you up!
