Being Slighted
Hey so we are all in this forum to improve ourselves. I am wondering how do you deal with something like this.
Recently something similar to the video happened to me at the gym and I felt really disrespected. I am not a scrawny guy or anything but I guess my mentality isn't that strong. I was using the squat rack and this dude just comes in and starts using the squat rack that I am using (while i was resting on the side). I told him "hey Im using this squat rack" and he began to tell me that he is going to work in with you .
Normally its not a big deal when someone wants to work in with me but this guy didnt ask instead he had this mentality and he was telling me that we are going to take turns with this squat rack and thats that. I wanted to say no you can't work in with me but I didnt want to be a d bag either.
You walk to the ends of the earth to knock that fucker out.
honestly I have used aggression with these type of situations (being disrespected) before and it does not make me feel any better about myself. the problem is if I dont use aggression I feel like less of a man and the situation keeps replaying itself in my head.
So both neither option makes you feel good about yourself, but one of them has an added bonus of giving you some sort of pro-longed self doubt. Choosing the one with the lower amount of negative repercussions seems more logical to me. Besides, some people need a good ass kicking to learn a lesson.
That guy in the video is going to get knocked out. Honestly, you just go report that shit to management and get him kicked out.
People like that guy in the video are always the first to call the cops when you punch them in the face. Maybe for someone uneducated it isn't a big deal, but if your goal isn't to flip burgers you want to avoid a felony.
