Opinions on REFM or BIWS RE course?
I wanted to get peoples opinions on both of these courses. I have done some research online and found that these two were the most recommended.
-
Is one superior than the other in regards to total content?
-
Which one is better for learning to underwrite commercial investment properties?
-
What are the pros and cons of each?
Your comments are greatly appreciated.
Also, if anyone has either of these courses and is interested in sharing with me i'm open to donations !
I'd highly recommend the BIWS course. They're periodically updated to reflect new standards, and they have a good variety of more traditional assets to underwrite (multifamily, office, hospitality, as well new/ongoing developments), though it would be interesting to see more obscure types of assets too, although they'll probably add some eventually. It also has a REIT valuation course for both US and non-US (so non-GAAP) REITs, which I thought was interesting.
Do you advise getting the Excel financial modeling course along with the RE course?
