Investment sales Training Materials

Does anyone have PDF copies of Marcus & millichap training materials? Or any other material on investment sales? Or can you point me to any sales training materials that would be helpful?training for both private capital and institutional sales would be great. Nothing in the marketplace seems to be commercial real estate specific. I Would greatly appreciate the help.

I know that this is an older post but I am a new member who just stumbled upon it this morning, and I cannot PM. If the offer is still on the table, a PM would be very much obliged!

I know this is a very old post but, as a new user, if there's any chance you could PM me I have an excel assessment for entry level analyst position tomorrow and would love the help.

PMs sent. Very surprised at the high level of interest. Looks like there's a lot of brokers on this forum....

I had a flair for languages. But I soon discovered that what talks best is dollars, dinars, drachmas, rubles, rupees and pounds fucking sterling.

Guys - I no longer have access to this. Old laptop is long gone. I have literally gotten like 100 PMs since this comment. If you got it, please pay it forward and recirculate. Thanks.

Sorry guys I can't keep up with the PMs. There's way too many...please coordinate amongst yourselves and pay it forward I sent out roughly 20 already

Generally speaking, that is what that link is. Hard to set it up so that only WSO people can see, but only people with the link can access it. I wouldn't put anything on there you weren't comfortable sharing. On the stuff I uploaded, I did is under a bogus account and removed (tried to anyways) any references to real people or real deals, even if that means just changing property names, unit counts, SFs, or whatever. Remember to remove the "author" or "last modified by" names from the work sheets by using "check for issues".

If anyone is looking for IS interview material, I would take a look at large brokerages that publish OMs/teasers on their websites (examples below). I just finished up a round of interviews at a few large brokerage shops and at one shop the analysts asked me to break down a property based on an OM they gave me. The questions they asked included, "what are some unidentified benefits of the property, risks, and other observations you noticed?" This is a great way for them to see how you think and if you'd be a good fit on an IS team. If you can identify before an interview what property that specific team may be working on, it would really impress the analysts and brokers. The OM that was given to me had financial information so the analysts asked me to perform a valuation of the asset. The public OMs on the websites below unfortunately won't have any financial info. However, performing a qualitative analysis of the property is extremely beneficial for anyone interviewing with an IS team. Here are some links to public OMs at brokerage shops.

CBRE: https://www.cbredealflow.com/ sign up for an account and wait to confirm it via email, CBRE provides great into brochures to look at.

JLL: http://www.us.jll.com/united-states/en-us/properties click on property brochure for individual properties.

NGKF: http://www.ngkf.com/home/property-listings/investment-sales-and-user-sa… click on property flyer for info on each property.

HFF: https://www.hfflp.com/properties/on-the-market.aspx some properties have OMs you can download with a ton of info.

Colliers: http://www.colliers.com/en-us/properties Click on properties and you can download teasers easily.

Say you're going for an interview at JLLs NYC office for an Analyst position with the retail team. Go on JLLs site, find a retail property in NYC, confirm the broker is with the team you're interviewing with, and learn everything there is to know about one of their properties for sale. This will give you a lift in the interview and impress them. Good luck to everyone.

You eat what you kill.

I'm late to the party, but does anyone have one they could they send to me? Just started in IS and am lacking training materials. On another note, if you could direct me to other training materials, I would really appreciate it. I'm focusing on multifamily.

I'm new to CRE and this site and would love it if someone would be kind enough to help me out by sharing a copy with me. I'm working at a firm without an established training program. I haven't been able to get much guidance and would really appreciate it.
