Interview
I had a quick call with a recruiter, based in Baltimore I think? The job itself was for in Philadelphia. Standard technicals, but then it got a bit weird when the recruiter asked me if I was male or female. I guess my voice? I answered female and after that the tone of the interview changed, it was awkward from him, and quickly ended. Would not recommend.
Interview Questions
Nothing too difficult beyond what I mentioned, hardest it got was stuff along the lines of "which would be larger, unlevered or levered free cash flow?"

30 minute phone screening with a mix of technical and fit questions, then a super day in the Boston office where I was able to meet different members of the team. Everyone was very friendly and really wanted to get to know me. Again, there was a mix of technical and behavioral questions, but many of the interviews were conversational.
Interview Questions
Was asked a lot why I wanted to do middle-market banking specifically when there were so many BB opportunities available.

Interview
Two round interviews, all over the phone. First one was a group interview asking to go through my resume and answered some technicals. Second/final round interview with the MD was all behavioral.
Interview Questions
The most difficult question I was asked was the relationship between of tax rates and the WACC for a DCF. Some easier and foundational questions were asked leading up to this one. Another question asked me to walk them through the changes in the financial statements if a company raises debt and equity to purchase equipment; they also asked about transactions that would be a result of this after several years of depreciation, interest payments and debt payments. If you don't take your time to fully digest the question, you might screw up

Interview
Recruiters held first round interviews on-campus through the career services office. This consisted of two short interviews with two analysts/recruiters in each interview. About 2-3 weeks later I was invited to the superday. This included 8 interviews, 4 of which were technical and the other 4 focusing on personality/fit. One week later I was offered the SA position and I accepted.
Interview Questions
There was only one unexpected question, which was asked in the valuation interview during the superday. It was, "How would you value a tree?".

The difficulty of answering this can be attributed more to the unexpected/abstract nature of the question rather than technical complexity. It was clear that they simply had no 'correct' answer in mind and they wanted to assess my ability to think about valuation intuitively and to hold an intelligent discussion on the topic. Other than this question, I never ran into a question that stumped me or that wasn't at least related to material covered in the most popular interview prep resources.

Interview
I networked with several analysts and associates at the bank in order to get the interview. The first round consisted of a phone interview with an analyst. The interview consisted mainly of behavioral with a few technical questions (accounting, valuation, etc.) I then moved on to super day that was held in the Richmond office. Their were seven interviews in total. I interviewed with analysts, associates, vice presidents, etc. The interviews were not extremely difficult. The questions range from the usual tell me about yourself, current job to accounting and valuation questions. Ultimately, I did not get the job.
Interview Questions
I would say the most difficult question I got was what are the most important factors in an lbo model. I answered that the purchase price, source of funds, and exit multiple were the most important. The interviewer stated that the normally play around with the exit multiple in order to see what creates the best return for them. Another difficult question I got was how you use an LBO to value a company. I said that you would make an assumption on what return you want and solve backwards to see how much debt you would need to use in order to get that return.

Personality Test
Background Check
Interview
Originally they had scheduled on campus 45 minute interviews, but last second they switched these to phone interviews (at least for me). The phone interview was all behavioral and was conducted by a human systems analyst in their HR department. He read off a list of questions and took notes. Questions like: What characteristics of a leader do you value most and when was a time you had to be a leader? What are some issues that banks are facing today? Tell me about a time you had a difficult partner. Tell me about yourself. they also ask about where you desire to work both functional group and location.

I you pass the phone interview you are invited to take a personality test (Caliper assessment) . This takes about 90 minutes. If you pass that they invite you to their nearest corporate office for several one-on-one interviews with management level employees.
Interview Questions
What does being a good leader mean to you and can you explain a situation where you had to exhibit these skills. Tell me about a current issue banks are facing today. The rest of the questions were just about my past and all of the basic behavioral questions. Why BB&T? Why the Early career Program? Why are you interested in financial services and why do you want to leave your current job? Tell me about yourself. Tell me about a difficult situation you faced and how did you handle it. Why did you decide to get a masters degree?
