The number you see in the middle of the doughnut pie chart is the simple average of these scores. If you hover over the various sections of the donut, you will see the % breakdown of each score given.

The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few interview insights). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview

Received an email inviting me to login to their portal to select an interview slot. First round was a phone interview, where I was asked about my motivation to do banking as well as why the bank in particular.

Interview Questions

Was asked about the FTSE-100 and what was its closing price; after answering, the interviewer then asked if it was higher or lower than sometime back in January.

Interview

Application with CV and cover letter then an invitation to online assessments. After that there was a phone call with HR where they asked basic technical and general financial awareness questions like 'what is the FTSE100 at today' and 'explain a P/E ratio'. Then there was an hour long video interview with HR where they went more in depth with technicals and your motivations (very equity research focussed). The last stage was a virtual assessment centre with a stock pitch, group activity, and a couple individual interviews.

Interview Questions

What is the FTSE100 at today? Most of the questions throughout the process were very standard and available online.

Interview

First a telephone interview consisting of questions such as what the DAX was trading at, and valuation methods. Then a longer video interview with HR talking about motivations and wider technical questions. Finally, an assessment centre, consisting of two interviews - one was technical and one was motivational. The assessment centre also involved a 10 minute stock pitch to interviewers and other candidates and finally a group discussion on different political topics (lowering voting age to 16 etc).

Interview

I sent my CV off and was then scheduled an interview with HR. I then progressed onto the AC having done an online maths test beforehand.
The initial interview was much of the same listed already on WSO.

Interview Questions

I was asked to run through my CV and asked what I knew about Berenberg after which more technical questions were thrown at me. This included what the FTSE100 was trading at and also what I would invest in given that I had a million pounds. Questions also went into current monetary policy.

The maths test was 10 minutes with 10 questions, similar in style to GMAT problem solving type questions but easier, so if you want to practice just do some gmat practice questions.
I am yet to do the AC but will update at a later point what I was the outcome.

Interview

Applied and got a 15 min telephone interview after a month. Asked about berenberg and technicals e.g. P/E.
Then told on the day I had a face to face interview which was 3 weeks after. Found out 2 weeks later, I had an AC.

Interview Questions

I was asked about what the Price/ Earnings Ratio, and when this is used and why it may not be a good trading multiple. The most difficult question I was asked was what the FTSE was trading at that day. What the interest rate and inflation ret set by the Bank of England was. The interviewer seemed very disinterested which then made it quite difficult to build a rapport. I was also asked the ways to value a company, why I have applied to Berenberg, and specifically the International Graduate Scheme.
