Associate Talent Programme job was posted on my university careers page which redirected me to Capco's website. Website application asked for a CV, optional cover letter and to fill a couple of questions like "Why Capco?, Why Consulting?, What have you seen of interest in the industry?" etc.
Heard back a month later that I was invited to an online video interview. I had to answer pre-recorded questions and film myself. Questions were mostly about fit, interest in the company, and industry insights. Had 1 min to prepare and 30 seconds to answer to about 5 questions. Also had a trick question asking "How many 5p coins can fit in a football field".
One month later (now mid-December) HR reached out to invite me to the assessment centre in the first part of January. Agreed on dated but didn't get an answer from HR despite multiple follow ups that they had to move me to a later date. At the later agreed upon date this happened to me again, rince and repeat, even a third time.
Finally, at the assessment centre with about 40 other students, all on Teams. Had an intro talk with HR discussing process and telling us we'd be split up in two groups. The first group would be having a group case study followed by a presentation and Q&A. The second group would start with a set of three, quick-fire, one-on-one interviews with current consultants. All behavioural and quite easy. It was in Teams breakout room so when time is done you're automatically brought back to the main room which doesn't allow for questions to the interviewer or even thanks.
Back to main room with Q&A with HR and consultants.
Heard back two days after that I got to final round consisting of 30 mins with HR and 30 mins with Partner.

The day starts off with a quick ice breaker.
Then you will be broken into groups based on a color on your name tag.
The three stations include: rapid fire, group case study, and meeting minute challenge.
There's a small 10 minute break after each challenge.
The day end with lunch, a partner panel, and then panel led by other AOs.

Advice:
Rapid Fire: There'll be a combination of behavioral questions and brain teasers.
Group case study: Use the white board in the room and pay attention to time. Take the time to actually breakdown who will speak about what.
Meeting Minute Challenge: This will seem extremely mundane but this part of the interview has an actual scoring rubric so do your best!
Partner Panel: Don't be the guy who asks "What do you love about consulting?" or based on regulatory XYZ, "what will Capco's response be."

General culture:
Meh. I don't honestly think anyone believes they are doing the sexiest work, but that said some people make their closest friends and mentors here. As an AO, don't make the mistake of making a strong alliance to a specific partner.

Interview Questions

The rapid fire section is where you'll get the most questions. (Tbh, this might be the only point of the day you'll really be asked questions period.)

The brainteasers are definitely the hardest. Some of the answers I knew immediately, but I needed to pretend I had heard them before.
* How many gas stations are there in the US?

* How many light bulbs are in the building?

The case study is a little easier when it comes to answering questions, since you can punt it and the responsibility to answer falls on the entire group. The trick here is to answer eloquently when you answer and assist gracefully.

I applied on campus and had a first round that was all behavioral. Then I was invited to participate in their on site assessment day interview and it consisted of a written component, a group case, and 3 short interviews. The 3 short interviews were "rapid fire" where the interviewer asked as many questions as possible in a span of 10 minutes I believe. It included market size questions as well as behavioral questions and then brainteasers.

As others have said, there was an in person first round interview and the second round was an assessment center day that consisted of an in-tray exercise, rapid fire questions, and a group case presentation. The in-tray is pretty easy, looking up examples and doing them will make you over-prepared for it. Next, rapid fire wasn't too bad. They just want to see how you deal with being uncomfortable and how confident you can be even while under pressure. Finally, the group case is a case given to you and your group where you are watched by consultants throughout a half hour of preparation. You must then present as a group.

Interview Questions

Who is the US-based CEO of Capco, what was Capco's name before it became Capco, name 3 international offices. In the group case there was Q&A and we were asked things like how would you structure your consulting team for the case, what are some of the possible risks you would face with your plan, and they also ask questions regarding how much your plan would cost. Overall the important part of the case is finding a good organizational structure and showing that you're a leader while still exhibiting support for the other team members and their ideas.
