Intern, Structured Analytics and Valuation

I saw the job post on campus career site then applied on Moody's career website, and I was lucky to knock the door open without networking. HR manager called me to do the first round phone screening. She asked about my availability, a team work experience and my weakness. It was easy.

Got the real interview a few days later. It was technical. We went over some basics of fixed income products, then went into prospectus reading and comprehension, and then a little bit of coding.

If you know fixed income well, know the 2008 crisis, and have learnt any type of coding language, you are good to go. Critical thinking is crucial though.
I am in the first intern class of our group, and I get in in my sophomore year.

Very nice people and great working environment in terms of learning opportunities as an intern.
