Research Analyst

Research Analyst position has four rounds of interviews. There was an initial on-campus interview, then a phone interview with a senior worker, then a case presentation (where I got dinged), and then an on-site. It's a heckuva process but it's worth it for a company like SIG.

For first round, they will ask basic expected value questions as well as background/fit questions. The biggest thing is to not be flustered on the math questions. There were two people interviewing me and it was kind of bad cop/good cop. One was smiling and very nice and the other was very blunt, not smiling, and just typing on the computer the whole time.

The second round phone interview is very market-based and more expected value questions. For the third round (case presentation) I had to submit a PowerPoint discussing a company's dividend. I got dinged after that but I know the next round from there is the final on-site.

I attended their info session and the culture there seems incredible. The work they do is very different and it seemed like a tremendous place to be. Overall I was pretty bummed I could not make it to the final round.
