OVERVIEW
The Leadership Council collaborates with SEO Scholars San Francisco staff and Advisory Board to get low-income public high school students to and through college by supplementing the SEO Scholars strategic mission, building awareness, fundraising, recruiting mentors/volunteers and functioning as ambassadors to the public.
The Leadership Council was founded in 2012 by a group of SEO Career alumni who wanted to give back to SEO and help build the Scholars program locally in San Francisco.
Leadership Council members are recruited by existing Leadership Council, SEO alumni, SEO Scholars staff and the Advisory Board. The LC reflects the diverse needs of SEO Scholars San Francisco. Selection criteria includes connection to SEO Scholars’ mission; strong peer network; prior SEO Scholars involvement; and related fundraising and volunteer experience.
