Global Economic Problems!
Global economy faces many issues and challenges. Some of the issues are short-term and quite a few, long-term, in nature. Among the short-term issues, recessions caused by temporary economic shocks such as credit crunch and momentary see-saw movements in stock markets could be mentioned, here. However, these temporary shocks and adverse movements usually correct themselves, in course of time. These are considered as part of any economic systems as these movements offer both challenges and opportunities for investors and the business community.
Fixing Long-term Economic Problems!
There is, of course, a stark difference between short-term and long-term economic problems. While short-term problems soften in a phased manner, long-term economic problems such as global inequality in income and standard of living, poverty, more particularly, in large part of Africa and select Asian economies, global warming and fast depletion of natural resources should be tackled with coordinated efforts and strategic approach by all the stakeholders, economists and global powers.
