PIMCO FT Recruiting

Hey everyone,

I’m currently a summer analyst at GSAM/MSIM/JPAM in a fixed income research type role, and will be graduating from an undergrad east coast target school in 2021. I’m originally from California and would love the opportunity to move back home and work for PIMCO for FT as a portfolio or credit analyst. Does anyone know anything about their recruitment process/timeline and what they generally look for? I also have IB experience if that would help.

Also, I would really appreciate if anyone could provide some insight on potential career progression from an undergrad role here. Is it possible to work your way up to a PM position from the analyst program or do they push people out? If they push people out, what are the exit opportunities typically like? What kind of work do they typically give analysts?

I’ve tried to do some research on this but haven’t found much. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
