2 weeks = no hope?
Final interview 9 business days ago. No major hiccups. Partner said team will be in touch in the next day or two.
It’s been 9 business days. Emailed HR last week - advised they’re ‘aiming’ to be in touch by the end of this week.
Coming to the end of this week - no outcome yet.
Context is off cycle but heavy expansion phase, T2 firm.
Any chance of a good outcome??
Yes, it's possible for a good outcome. There are plenty of potential mundane reasons for a delay, and from outside-in it is impossible to guess or predict what's happening

Yeah there could just be some one-off reason for a delay. I wouldn't give up hope yet.

For what it's worth, I waited an entire month after my final round before being offered my current role. Nerve-wracking, but no news is sometimes good news.

Yes totally possible for a good outcome - recruiting can come to a complete pause for a few days if some of the senior folks leading the recruiting phase get tied up with client/ internal firm work. good luck!
Its also worth noting that you could be placed on a wait-list kind of thing and they are waiting to see if people accept their offers before going to you. Don't give up hope :)
Hey everyone just wanted to update - I got the offer! They were really busy with recruiting at the level just below mine (undergrad campus) and apologized for the delay. Got the happy call today :) Thanks all for the reassurance, made it less nerve wrecking.
