Accelerated R2 Question

Have an accelerated R2 this week for a MBB FT position. I've heard from people at the firm that it can take 1-2 weeks at times to hear if you got the offer or not. Do you know if these firms try to get back to you day of / day after with a yes / no in the case of accelerated interviews? The reason it is accelerated is because I have a current return offer from my internship that expires before the original interview date I had.

I would sign the MBB offer if I get it, but the other offer expires soon after.

Appreciate any advice, tried to look through this forum and could not find an answer so sorry if this has been posted before!
